Timney Hit

The Timney Hit Triggers now features Carbon Nitride Coating, which allows the opportunity to provide you with the highest quality trigger available anywhere. The thermochemical process simultaneously diffuses nitrogen and carbon into the surface of ferrous metals.

This coating is substantially harder than hardened tool steel and increases the long-term wear, provides exceptional corrosion resistance, far surpassing the military salt water corrosion standards and increases lubricity to your trigger. This provides your Timney with a lifetime of smooth edges because we understand the importance of, “Every shot counts.”

For the discriminating shooter, demanding the utmost performance from their trigger, Timney has created a new line of triggers designed to be robust and yet delicate enough to be set with a pull weight as low as 8 ounces. An engineering accomplishment, the Timney Hit Triggers feature wear components that are made from A2 tool steel, heat-treated to Rockwell 58 and Teflon-nickel coatings. Sears are wire EDM cut and triggers are CNC machine using state-of-the-art robotics. The lightweight 6061-T6 aluminium housings are CNC machined and anodized Timney Elite Gold.

Timney’s design genius, who is responsible for such award-winning triggers as the Timney AR drop-in trigger, Remington 700 with unique trigger blocking safety and loads of other critically acclaimed replacement triggers.

Rem 700 Diamond Trigger

The first Rem 700 Diamond Trigger was shown at the 2017 NRA Show. Since then TriggerTech has worked with the K&M Shooting Team and several leading R700 Clone action manufacturers the refine the product. The Rem 700 Diamond is truly zero creep and is the most consistent and crisp breaking trigger you will ever use. The diamond will make you aware of the creep that exists in other triggers. It features new variable rate adjustment technology that enables quick and confident adjustment from <4oz – 32oz with TriggerTech’s patented CLKR Technology™. The adjustment feature utilizes externally accessible set screw and the adjustment range begins at ~0.2 oz/click from <4 oz to ~9 oz and the changes to ~1 oz click from ~9 oz to 32 oz. Due to the exceptionally crisp break, most shooters report the pull weights feeling significantly lighter than a friction based trigger of the same measured weight. Five of the critical Diamond components are assembled as matched set to enable a true zero-creep break, extremely short overtravel and offers outstanding reliability, even in the harshest environments. Frictionless Release Technology™, along with hardened 440C stainless steel internal components ensure corrosion resistance and an extended service life. As Frictionless Release Technology™ does not rely on coating, polishing or lubricating the key engagement surfaces, trigger pulls will be more consistent from shot to shot and after thousands of shots more than you ever thought possible.

Rem 700 Two-Stage

Our most complex and technologically advanced trigger yet. Developed with the same unmatched zero-creep break, tactile pull weight adjustment (on both stages), rugged design, and no compromise engineering. Our focus on safety led us to develop the first Rem 700 trigger with four points of safety. This is a new level of performance and safety for those who prefer some movement before the wall. Four points of safety:

  1. Ticker Blocker – prevents the ticker from moving while on safe.
  2. Sear Blocker – prevents the sear from dropping while on safe.
  3. First-Stage Lockout – the tumbler locks out the first stage while on safe. The first-stage will not move while on safe, giving the shooter immediate confirmation that the safety is engaged.
  4. First-Stage Safety – even when on fire the first-stage blocks the ticker until the first-stage is actuated.

The adjustment feature utilizes externally accessible set screw for both stages. Due to the exceptionally crisp break the activation energy is less than friction-based triggers. Most shooters report the pull weights feeling significantly lighter than a friction-based trigger of the same measured weight. The triggers components are assembled as a matched set to enable a true zero-creep break, extremely short overtravel and offers outstanding reliability, even in the harshest environments.

Rem 700 Primary Trigger

The Rem 700 Primary is the ideal upgrade to improve accuracy and precision on any Remington 700 model rifle. Featuring TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology™, this drop-in trigger provides a true zero-creep break, extremely short over-travel and offers outstanding reliability, even in the harshest environments. Utilizing CLKR Technology™, the pull weight is quickly and confidently adjusted from 1.5 – 4.0 lbs in 1oz increments from an externally accessible set screw. Due to the exceptionally crisp break,  most shooters report the pull weights feeling ~0.5lbs lighter than a friction based trigger of the same measured pull weight. Rem 700 Competition TwoStage

e’ve added a top safety to our highly acclaimed two-stage trigger!

The Bix’n Andy Two-Stage Competition trigger has been the most exciting new product in rifle shooting for some time. It’s based on the record-breaking Bix’n Andy Benchrest trigger, but has two independent stages instead of one. The trigger weights of each stage can be set completely independently and the shooter can adjust the travel of the first stage from 0 to 7 mm. Previously, this trigger was only available without a safety, but now it is also available with a top safety.

The Bix’n Andy Two Stage trigger can also be used as a direct trigger with adjustable trigger weight. The minimum trigger weight on the first stage can be set to 5 grams and on the second stage to 20 grams. The maximum total trigger weight can be set to 500 grams.

Bix’n Andy deductions were on the podium at the 2013 NBRSA Nationals and the 2013 World Championships in Australia. More and more top shooters are opting for this exceptional upgrade for their rifles.

Jewell HVR Trigger – Replacement Trigger for Remington 700

Optional factory type safety and bolt release (made from 4130 sheet stainless) function “better than the original”. Also offered is a safety that sits inside the trigger bow for those so inclined. Jewell simply recommends lighter fluid to flush any crud from the module (if it should get dirty) after each barrel cleaning.

For those unfamiliar with Jewell triggers, they are considered by the cognoscenti of rifle shooting to be the very finest made. Nothing is spared in their construction; heat treated 440 stainless steel for internals, 330 stainless for the side plates and all internal parts are stainless. The complete high grade stainless steel construction means very little potential for any corrosion.

The First step in this component swap is to remove the factory trigger module.

The HVR is fabricated as a complete self contained unit.

All adjustments on the Jewell can be made externally via the allen screws.

After thoroughly cleaning and making a visual inspection of the cuts in the receiver for any burrs or irregularities and we are ready to begin installing the Jewell HVR.

This is simply done in the reverse order.

Slide trigger module into place and gently tap in the front securing pin and place the Bolt stop in the slot parallel the trigger cut in the receiver. It is helpful to use a slave pin or 2nd drift punch to hold parts in place and free up a hand. Rotate the Jewell trigger module into the receiver and slip the drift punch into rear hole from the left side. Place the bolt stop spring coil down into the small cut alongside the bolt stop (Long arm forward and bent leg fitting into the trigger cut), press downwards and slide the 2nd drift punch through to hold everything in place. Rotate the rear of the HVR into place making sure the leg of the bolt release engages the notch in the bolt stop.

Gently tap the rear stop pin into place with the tapered end first until it is just “peeking” through the opposite side of the pin hole. This should leave about .050-.060″ of the pin exposed above the bolt stop. Now that everything is officially reassembled, insert the bolt and carefully function check the unit by loading some dummy rounds or snap caps and vigorously cycling the action with the safety in the “OFF” position. The firing pin should not fall, if it does readjustment may be necessary. Do not try for a benchrest type weight or release! Once again, state of the art engineering

If you own a Remington 700 (or similar “cloned” action), wish to dramatically improve the trigger, and will accept absolutely no compromises in function or performance, get the Jewell HVR.
We can supply and fit Arnold Jewell trigger units, if you require.
