Kershaw Custom Actions
We are able to offer the following:
- Right hand short action repeater.
- Left hand short action repeater.
- Right hand single shot short action.
- Left hand single shot short action.
- Right hand long action repeater.
- Left hand long action repeater.
- Right hand long action single shot.
- Left hand long action single shot
.223 , .308 , Magnum, and Lapua magnum bolt faces available. The .338 Lapua magnum version is a slightly larger diameter action, but has Remington long action footprint. It has a larger diameter .750 bolt and M14 style extractor.
- A much beefier action to cope with the biggest of cartridges.
- 0.003″ bolt tolerance on repeater models as standard.
- 0.002″ bolt tolerance on single shot actions.
Tolerances are also customer specifiable if different ones are required.
The action specifications are as follows:-
- The action body is machined from 416 stainless , hardened to 38-39 Rockwell. Bolt raceway is wire EDM’d.
- Bolt is made from 4140 [ EN19 ] chrome molybdenum steel and hardened to 42-43 Rockwell. This ensures no
bolt/action galling. - The Kershaw classic action comes with a pinned , oversized surface ground stainless recoil lug.
- The Kershaw premium action has an integral recoil lug machined from one billet of stainless steel forming part of
the action body. - The action comes with a pinned , oversized surface ground stainless recoil lug.
- Picatinny rails are available in zero , 20 , or 30 MOA.
Rail is held on with 4 x M4 stainless socket screws, and also sat on two stainless steel dowels connected to the
action….in short, it will never move anywhere, even under the fiercest recoil, and still allow more MOA options
than a fixed rail.
